SPRED Autism conference

WARWICK —The diocesan Special Education Ministry (SPRED) will host Project Faith 2008, April 26, 8:30 a.m.- 3 p.m., at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Warwick. The event begins with a prayer service lead by Father Gerard O. Sabourin, Director, diocesan Apostolate for Persons with Handicaps. Speakers will include Susan Swanson, a speech and language pathologist and consultant, who will offer a talk entitled “Supporting the Unique Learning Needs of Persons with Autism in Special Religious Education,” and Father Francis O’Hara, a retired diocesan priest, who will offer a presentation titled “A?Walk with Jesus on the Way to Emmaus and to Our Own Home Town.” The event will include a networking luncheon. C.O.R.E. meeting

CRANSTON — The first meeting of the Continuing Our Retrouvaille Experience (C.O.R.E.) will be held April 19, 2008, 7 p.m., at the Rejoice in Hope Youth Center, 804 Dyer Ave. These meetings will take place on the third Saturday of each month.

C.O.R.E is a sharing group for couples who have made a Retrouvaille Weekend. Retrouvaille is a successful program designed to help rebuild marriages that are experiencing difficulty. C.O.R.E. is an integral component of the program as it allows couples that wish to continue working to improve their marriage relationship. Each month, couples gather to share their struggles and joys with others who value marriage and wish to continue in strengthening their commitments.

Holy Ghost concert

PROVIDENCE — Holy Ghost Church, One Knight S t., will hold a “Spring Choral Concert,” April 27, 6 p.m., in the church. The concert will be performed by the I Cantori Choral Society of Providence College. Proceeds from the concert will benefit parish ministries. Adult faith formation talk

WOONSOCKET — The Northern Rhode Island Adult

Faith Formation Committee will sponsor a talk by Father Bernard Healey, diocesan Government Liaison, April 27, 3 p.m., in the parish hall of St. Agatha Church, corner of Logee and Fairfield streets. Father Healey will offer a presentation entitled “Civic Responsibility, Conscience Formation and Catholicism.” For more information, call 767-2950.

Franciscan Missionaries Mass

NORTH PROVIDENCE –The Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, 399 Fruit Hill Ave., will sponsor a Mass, April 19, 9 a.m., in the Holy Family Chapel. St. Martha Holy Hour

Easter Mission

NORTH KINGSTOWN — St. Francis de Sales Church, 381 School St., will host an Easter Mission, April 21-23, 7 p.m. The mission, entitled “Forgiveness Leads to Wellness and Joy” will be presented by Very Rev.
