St. James Healing Mass

CHARLESTOWN —?St. James Chapel, 2079 Matunuck Schoolhouse Road, will hold a Healing Mass, January 13, 2 p.m., in the chapel. The celebrant will be Father Paul Desmarais, pastor of St. Mary Church, Carolina, which includes St. James Chapel. ‘Theology on Tap’

SMITHFIELD — The diocesan Office of Religious Education will sponsor “Theology on Tap,” January 23 at Uno Chicago Grill, 371 Putnam Pike. Guests should plan on arriving at 7 p.m.; the speaking program begins at 7:30 p.m. Dr. Frances Gallo, Central Falls Superintendent of Schools and Deacon Robert Gallo, assigned to St. Bartholomew Parish, Providence, will present a talk entitled “Catholic Marriage:?Is it Really Necessary?” which will discuss the meaning and relevancy of Catholic marriage in contemporary society. Interfaith Prayer Breakfast

SMITHFIELD — Bryant University will hold its 12th annual Interfaith Prayer Breakfast, February 5. 7:30-8:30 a.m., in the Stepan Grand Hall of the George E. Bello Center. The Rev. Donald C. Anderson, executive minister of the Rhode Island Council of Churches, will be the guest speaker. Regina Coeli Society

CRANSTON — The Regina Coeli Society of St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston St., will hold an initiation ceremony for new members, January 16, 7 p.m., in the parish center.
