Festival of Lights

ATTLEBORO, Mass. — The National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette, 947 Park Ave., will host its annual Festival of Lights, November 22-January 1, 2008, 5-9 p.m. The theme for this year’s illumination is “Love is Born.” Opening prayer will be recited every night at the outdoor manger at 5 p.m. La Salette Father Andre Patenaude will offer daily at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., except for Thanksgiving Day and December 8. Troop hosts Ocean State follies

ALBION — Boy Scout Troop 711, will host “Charlie Hall’s Ocean State Follies,” November 24, reception, 6:30 p.m.; show, 7 p.m. The show is presented for an over 21 year-old audience. A cash bar will be available. For tickets or more information, call 333-5145.

Advent wreath project

BARRINGTON — The Mother’s Group of St. Luke Church, in cooperation with the St. Luke School PTO, will hold an Advent wreath-making workshop, December 1, 3-5 p.m., in the St. Luke School gymnasium, Waldron Avenue. For those unable to attend the event, an advent wreath kit may be ordered. Refreshments will be served and all wreaths created at the workshop will be blessed by Father Robert Hawkins, pastor of St. Luke Church. St. Bernard presents concert

Black Catholic Ministry Reflection Day

PROVIDENCE — The diocesan Office of Black Catholic Ministry will hold a “Day of Reflection,” Dec. 1, 10:30 a.m.- 5 p.m., in the parish hall of Holy Name of Jesus Church, 99 Camp St. A program will be offered by Legionaries of Christ Father Andrew McNair.
