Knights' dinner

NORTH KINGSTOWN - The Knights of Columbus, St. Francis Council No. 2011, will host a "St. Patrick Dinner-Dance," March 18, cocktails, 6:30 p.m.; dinner, 7 p.m., at the council hall, 1265 Tower Hill Road. Parishes' 'Day of Recollection'

Providence College to host icon display

PROVIDENCE - The Center for Catholic and Dominican Studies of Providence College, corner of River Avenue and Eaton Street, will host a display of icons, Feb. 1-April 16, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The display, entitled "The Art and Theology of Icons" explores the way in which the iconography of the Eastern Church reflects the growth and development of Christian theology. St. Patrick's faith conference

PROVIDENCE - St. Patrick Church, 244 Smith St., will sponsor its third "Embrace Your Faith Conference," March 3, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The event will begin with Mass, followed by a presentation, titled "Human Formation in the Life of Faith," offered by Dr. Michael Hanson, director of the diocesan Office of Human Formation and Outreach. Father James T. Ruggieri, pastor of Sts. Patrick and Casimir churches, will offer a talk, 11 a.m., entitled "The Ten Commandments and 21st Century Living: Christians Don't Have to be Moral Sad Sacks." Following a light luncheon, Janet Walsh, director of Faith Formation, Diocese of Norwich, will talk on "What You Never Learned from Family Ties, the Huxtables, the Brady Bunch or the Osbournes." Daughters of Isabella meeting

WARWICK - The Daughters of Isabella, St. Benedict Circle, will host a meeting, March 5, 7 p.m., in the library of the former St. Benedict School, Transit Street. Feast at St. Alexander's

WARREN - St. Alexander Church, 221 Main St., will celebrate the Feast of St. Casimir, March 4, 3 p.m. The service will include Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, and a homily offered by Father Przemyslaw Lepak, assistant, St. Kevin Church, Warwick. Father David W. Masello, administrator of St. Alexander Church, will preside, and Father Matthew J. Strumski, pastor emeritus of the former St. Casimir Church, will be in attendance. Lenten mission at Cathedral

PROVIDENCE - The Cathedral of SS.
