Loreto men’s breakfast

EAST PROVIDENCE — The Men of St. Joseph will gather at Our Lady of Loreto Parish, 346 Waterman Ave., July 28, 8 a.m., for Mass, followed by breakfast. La Salette activities

ATTLEBORO, Mass. — The National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette, 947 Park Ave., will host a “Mass for the Unborn,” July 28, 4 p.m. A healing service will be conducted July 29, 2 p.m., by Father Andre Patenaude, and will include Mass, music, teaching and an opportunity to be prayed over individually. ATTLEBORO, Mass. — The La Salette Retreat Center, 947 Park Ave., will host a series of grief education programs, Monday mornings, 10:30 a.m.-noon., Aug. 6, Depression and Grief; Oct. 1, Dreams:?A?Way of Connecting; Nov. 19, How to Prepare for the Holidays; Dec. 3, Dealing With Feelings I Don’t Like or Understand: Guilt, Anger and Shame. Columban Fathers’ festival

BRISTOL — The Columban Fathers, 65 Ferry Road, will sponsor a festival and bazaar, July 29, noon-6 p.m. The event will include games of chance, children’s games, bingo, raffles with prizes, a chicken barbeque, chowder, clam cakes and more. Villa summer concerts

NORTH SMITHFIELD — The Villa at St. Antoine, 400 Mendon Road, will continue its summer concert series, August 7, 7 p.m., in the courtyard, featuring The Ocean State Barbershop Chorus. The musical group “Avenue A” will perform on August 21, and The Heritage String Band will play on August 28. Refreshments will be served, and guests are asked to bring a lawn chair. Holy Angels Festival

BARRINGTON — Holy Angels Church, 341 Maple Ave., will host its annual summer festival, Aug. 16-18, on the parish grounds. The festival will begin with a steak fry, Aug. 16, 6 p.m. For reservations, call 245-4704. The festival will continue Aug. 17 and 18, 5-10 p.m., and will feature food, games, raffles, a bake sale and more. A feast day Mass will be concelebrated Aug. 19, 10:30 a.m. The main celebrant will be Msgr. Robert C. Band instruments sought

EAST PROVIDENCE — Sacred Heart School, 56 Purchase St., is forming an instrumental music program and is seeking donations of gently-used woodwind and brass musical instruments, including flutes, clarinets, saxophones, trumpets, trombones, French and baritone horns. Loreto Scripture study

EAST PROVIDENCE — Our Lady of Loreto Church, 346 Waterman Ave., will sponsor a Scripture study, Aug. 21, 7-8 p.m., in the parish meeting room located next door to the church. Timothy Ried, who holds a master’s degree in theology from Providence College, will present an overview of the Old Testament — I and 2 Chronicles, Ezra and Nehemiah.
