‘Men Hurt, Too’ at McVinney Auditorium for one night only

PROVIDENCE — “Men Hurt, Too” the latest play by local artistic director, Helen Baskerville-Dukes, will take the McVinney Auditorium stage, 43 Dave Gavitt Way, on Saturday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m. The play tackles how men cope with the pain and devastation of a relationship gone sour and how God can play a part in changing a man’s heart. Young Adults: Theology on Tap to discuss the ‘Pursuit of Happiness’

PROVIDENCE — Young Adults, single or married, in their 20s and 30s are invited to Theology on Tap, on Thursday, March 2, from 6 – 8:30 p.m., at The Malted Barley, 334 Westminster St. Come for fellowship at 6 p.m. followed by a presentation and Q&A at 7 p.m. The topic will be “Pursuit of Happiness,” presented by Father Christopher Murphy, assistant vocation director for the Diocese of Providence. Parish to host presentation on Blessed Mother

WARWICK — As part of an ongoing series to celebrate the Diocesan Year of Mary Our Mother, Saints Rose and Clement Parish, 111 Long St., will host a presentation on “Mary’s Promise for the Five First Saturdays” on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. in the church. Eucharistic Ministers needed at Rhode Island Hospital

PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island Hospital is looking for Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist to administer Holy Communion to Catholic patients. Monthly Grief Support Group meeting at The Villa at Saint Antoine

NORTH SMITHFIELD — Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Rhode Island will offer an off-site monthly general grief support group meeting at the Villa at Saint Antoine, 400 Mendon Road, open to any person experiencing the profound effects of loss and grief. Meetings are happening on the second Wednesday of the month from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the following dates: March 8, April 12 and May 10. The Center for Hope & Healing support groups are facilitated as mutual support groups and participants do not have to have lost a loved one while in the care of Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Rhode Island. Pasta Supper to benefit Meghan's Mission

SMITHFIELD — Tickets for Saint Philip Parish Men’s Club pasta supper to raise funds for Meghan’s Mission are on sale now. All proceeds from this supper will benefit the ongoing medical expenses of 16-year-old Meghan Kiernan of Greenville. In May, Meghan was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma and has already had four surgeries, undergone four cycles of chemotherapy and 11 treatments of radiation. The event will be held on Thursday, March 23, in the parish center of Saint Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, and will feature a pasta and meatball supper from 3-8 p.m. as well as a large multi-level raffle with prizes donated from businesses and families in the community. Tickets can be purchased after Mass at Saint Philip Church and the weekend of March 18 and 19 at Stop & Shop Supermarket, Putnam Pike; on Saturday, Feb. 18 and Sunday, March 5, daily from Smithfield YMCA, Cerrone’s Auto Body and Laura’s Diner. All members of Saint Philip Men’s Club are also selling the tickets, as well as the family of Meghan Kiernan. Organizers are actively looking for raffle prize donations. Marian Theatre Project to be featured at Jesus Saviour Church

NEWPORT— The Rosary Sodality will host the Marian Theatre Project on Sunday, March 5, following the 10 a.m. Mass, at Jesus Saviour Church, One Vernon Ave. Elizabeth Montigny will present “Walking With Our Mother,” a scripture based presentation on the Passion of Jesus, through the eyes of the Blessed Mother. This performance is about 20 minutes in length and appropriate for ages 13 and older. Refreshments following. All are invited.

Knights to host pasta dinner to benefit Woonsocket Police Department

WOONSOCKET — The Woonsocket Knights of Columbus Council 113 will host a Pasta Dinner on Saturday, Feb. 17 to benefit Woonsocket Police COPSWALK. The event will take place at the All Saints Parish hall, 323 Rathbun St., from 5 – 7:30 p.m. Children under 5 eat for free.
