Event to benefit critical pastoral care programs

PAWTUCKET — The Office of Life and Family, along with the Human Life Guild Board and the Knights of Columbus, is sponsoring a fundraiser dinner on Saturday, April 26 at 6 p.m. at Blessed Pope John Paul II Parish. The event, which will begin with a social hour, will feature raffles and a penny social. All proceeds will benefit three critical pastoral care programs, including St. Gabriel’s Call, which focuses on pregnancy outreach, Rachel’s Vineyard Retreats, a post-abortion ministry, as well as My Child…My Gift, a poor-prenatal diagnosis ministry. Lenten Supper at St. Joseph Church NORTH SCITUATE - A Lenten supper at St. Joseph Church, 144 Danielson Pike, will be held on Friday April 4 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the church hall. The menu includes pub-style baked fish, rice pilaf, mixed vegetables, cole slaw, ice cream, as well as beverages. St. Eugene hosting Italian Night Dinner CHEPACHET — St. Eugene Church, 1251 Putnam Pike, is hosting an Italian Festival on Saturday, April 12, at 5:30 p.m. The menu includes Italian salad, pasta, meatballs and sausage, plus assorted beverages, Italian cookies and coffee. Adult Search planned WOONSOCKET — An adult search, a unique weekend retreat experience where one takes a deeper look at themselves and their relationships with family, friends and God, will take place at the Father Marot CYO Center, 53 Federal St., from April 4-6. The Finding Hope Program for Divorced or Separated Catholics PROVIDENCE —The Office of Life and Family is offering the Finding Hope Support group for divorced/separated Catholics every Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., from April 9 through May 28 at St. Patrick Church, 244 Smith St. The Finding Hope support group embraces the Catholic faith and the healing love and grace of Jesus Christ, while providing a peaceful environment to share thoughts, feelings and topics related to separation and divorce. St. Elizabeth to host annual Golf Tournament BRISTOL — The Santo Cristo Committee of St. Elizabeth Church has opened registration for the 3rd annual St. Elizabeth Parish Golf Tournament, with the proceeds from the tournament benefitting the Friends of St. Elizabeth Food Pantry, “Drive Out Hunger” and the Santo Cristo Feast. The event will take place on May 4 at Swansea Country Club in Swansea, Mass. Entries are limited, and corporate and tee sponsors are welcomed.
