Celtic Cultures: An evening of Irish and Scottish music

PROVIDENCE — Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, 99 Camp St., will host a free evening of Irish and Scottish Music on Saturday, August 13, at 6:30 p.m. Mezzo –soprano Elizabeth Walsh and pianist Jacob Stott will perform a program of Scottish and Irish classics including “Star of County Down,” “Ye Banks” and “Braes O’Bonny Doune,” and “Danny Boy.” The program will also include the popular Mummers’ Dance. Donations will be accepted to support the evangelization efforts at Holy Name.

Catholic Women’s League to host luncheon

Blessed Sacrament Parish to host concert

St. Bartholomew Church to host Feast and Festival

Jesus Saviour Church to host annual summer bazaar

NEWPORT— Jesus Saviour Church, 1 Vernon Ave., will hold its annual summer bazaar on Thursday, July 28 – Saturday, July 30, from 7-11 p.m. each evening. The bazaar will feature popular bingo, pull tabs and assorted game booths. Homemade fava, chourico sandwiches and pastries are the specialty of the kitchen every night.
