At the invitation of St. Alexander Church Administrator Father David W. Masello, Bishop Thomas J. Tobin made a pastoral visit to the Warren church on Sunday, Feb. 26. “You have a beautiful little parish here,” the bishop said. “I’m very proud of all the great work you do and very grateful for all the work you do for our church and our community and hope you will keep up your good work in the days to come.” In his homily, he spoke of the reason he is asking the diocese this year to observe a special “Year with Mary Our Mother” because our devotion to the Blessed Mother is one of the great riches of our Catholic faith. “We need her assistance, her intercession in our lives and in our world today, certainly in our nation, the church and in our own personal family lives If we turn to Mary she will never fail us,” he said.
