Parishioners at St. Pius V Church, Providence, celebrated the Feast of Divine Mercy on Sunday, April 23. The afternoon included opportunities for confession, the recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Mass celebrated by Associate Pastor Father Patrick Mary Briscoe. Sister Confida, a member of the Boston convent of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, spoke about the Divine Mercy Image and the diary of Saint Faustina. “Our devotion to the Divine Mercy should not remain here,” she told the crowd, indicating her mind. “It must go all the way to the heart and the Divine Mercy must be received and lived.”
