Parishioners of St. Paul Church in Cranston smile with Bishop Thomas J. Tobin following the Chrism Mass celebrated on Monday, March 26 at the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul, Providence. The Mass, that welcomed hundreds in attendance, was concelebrated with priests from around the state. During the celebration, Bishop Tobin blessed and consecrated the holy oils that will be used throughout the diocese during the coming year. The Chrism Mass is also an important expression of unity among priests and their bishops, a special opportunity for priests to renew their priestly promises.
