The 8th annual Nativity Lighting in the Rhode Island Statehouse Rotunda took place on Wednesday, Dec. 11. The Nativity scene was lit, celebrating the coming birth of Christ, followed by the singing of Christmas carols and enjoyment of Christmas cookies. Father Michael A. Kelley, pastor of St. Agatha and Precious Blood Churches in Woonsocket, offered a blessing over the Nativity scene and all those in attendance. The event was presented by the Joy to the World Nativity Committee and sponsored by the Thomas More Society and Media Sponsors Relevant Radio and Rhode Island Catholic.
