Friends' Fund Dinner Auction to benefit SVDP RI
NORTH KINGSTOWN — The Friends of Saint Vincent de Paul, Rhode Island, are hosting a Dinner Auction to benefit the organization that in 2016 provided $2.3 million worth of food and nearly $1 million in direct aid to Rhode Island families in need for electricity, food, clothing and more. Also during the event, two members of the Society and Bishop Thomas J. Tobin will be honored with the Fredric Ozanam Lifetime Achievement Award for their donation and service to the poor. Proceeds from Friends’ Fund Benefit will help SVDP's 34 parish-based conferences which continue to serve Rhode Islanders by helping to meet basic human needs, such as housing and heat. Holy Spirit to hold ‘Springtime Festival’
