Servants of Christ for Life to organize Spring Rosary Novena

PROVIDENCE — All are invited to join Servants of Christ for Life for their Spring Rosary Novena. A Mass will begin the day at Our Lady of the Rosary Church at 8 a.m. Following Mass, many will gather in front of Planned Parenthood in Providence for nine consecutive Saturday mornings to pray three Mysteries of the Rosary from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. The Novena runs April 22 - June 17. Novena Service to be held Tuesdays in May

JOHNSTON — St. Rocco Church will honor the month of the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary with a Novena Service each Tuesday evening during May. Commencing at 7 p.m. in the church at 927 Atwood Ave., the service will include Rosary and Novena prayers and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. All are welcome to participate. ‘Love and Faith in the Time of Trump’ discussion at St. Pius V Church

PROVIDENCE — On Thursday, May 18, from 8 – 9 p.m., St. Pius V Young Adults will host a talk by Kathryn Jean Lopez entitled “Love and Faith in the Time of Trump,” in the church hall. Kathryn Jean Lopez is a senior fellow at the National Review Institute and editor-at-large of National Review. Besides National Review and NRO, her work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Times, The Women’s Quarterly, The National Catholic Register, Our Sunday Visitor, American Outlook, New York Press and The Human Life Review, among other publications. Our Lady of Loreto Church to host May Breakfast

EAST PROVIDENCE — The Social Ministry/Respect Life Committee of Our Lady of Loreto Church will host a May Breakfast on Sunday, May 21, from 9 a.m. to noon. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. The menu will include scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, home fries, pancakes, fruit cup, breakfast pastries, juice and tea. Tickets will be on sale on the weekends of May 13 -14, and at all Masses. Tickets may also be purchased by contacting the parish office at 434-3535. Please purchase tickets by Sunday, May 14, as limited tickets will be sold at the door. This fundraiser will benefit of the Social Ministry/Respect Life outreach of the parish.

Our Lady of Grace Church invites community to daily rosary prayer at parish

Rosary Rally in honor of 100th Anniversary of Fatima

NORTH KINGSTOWN — All are invited to join in a Public Square Rosary on May 13, from noon until 1 p.m. at St. Bernard’s Church, 275 Tower Hill Road. The Rosary Rally will be one of thousands of rallies taking place all across the United States. It was on May 13, 1917, that Our Lady first appeared to the three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal. Summer Camp for High School Boys

PROVIDENCE — All Catholic high school boys are invited to attend a Quo Vadis Days Camp to spend time with other young men discovering their purpose in life while having fun. The camp will be held from July 30 – August 2 at the Seminary of Our Lady of Providence. Vocations Race Team

CRANSTON — The Office of Vocations is organizing a race team for The Gaspee Days 5K Foot Race at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 10. The team is comprised of priests, seminarians and lay faithful who will wear team t-shirts that witness to the faith, invite spectators and race participants to pray for vocations. Understanding Islam presentation to be held at St. Patrick Church

PROVIDENCE — All are invited to an evening of dialogue and information with Aisha Mansoor who will discuss how media misinformation, stereotypes and fear create misunderstanding among non-Muslims about Islam. Mansoor, who earned an M.A. in Islamic Theology and Jurisprudence from Bradford, U.K., is an ambitious leader and active volunteer with the Rhode Island Muslim community. St. Kevin Church to host ‘Honoring Our Heroes: A Patriotic Concert

WARWICK — St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, will present a Patriotic Concert on Friday May 19 at 7 p.m. The concert will feature inspirational music by the 88th Army Band with the combined choirs of St. Kevin and St. Rita churches and a special appearance by the Warwick Police and Fire Honor Guard. The concert, “Honoring Our Heroes,” is free and open to the public. A free will donation of non-perishable food for the parish’s food pantry is appreciated.

Bishop Evans to celebrate Mass at Holy Name of Jesus Parish, Dedicate Shrine

PROVIDENCE — On May 14, His Excellency Auxiliary Bishop Robert Evans, of the Diocese of Providence, will celebrate and preach at a Pontifical Mass with the African Catholic Community and all those who wish to attend. The Mass will take place in the Lady Chapel at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 99 Camp St., at 12:30 p.m. Following the Holy Mass all present who are able will go in procession to the place of dedication of the Shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in the Baptistery of the Church. There will be a variety of food available after the dedication.
