Summer Camp for High School Boys

PROVIDENCE — All Catholic boys of high school age are invited to attend a Quo Vadis Days Camp to spend time with other young men discovering their purpose in life while having fun. The camp will be held from July 30 – August 2 at the Seminary of Our Lady of Providence. Quo Vadis Days Camp is led by priests and seminarians of the Diocese of Providence and is supported by the Office of Vocations. The camp will include reflections from priests and laymen from around the diocese, Mass with our bishop, an outdoor challenge course and a number of other fun activities. Vocations Race Team

CRANSTON — The Office of Vocations is organizing a race team for The Gaspee Days 5K Foot Race at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 10. The team is comprised of priests, seminarians and lay faithful who will wear team t-shirts that witness to the faith, invite spectators and race participants to pray for vocations. The more runners, the more powerful the witness. There will be a pre-race Mass at 8 a.m. at St. Paul’s Church in Cranston. Catholic Women’s League to host Communion Breakfast

Sacred Heart School to present Spring Concert

EAST PROVIDENCE — Sacred Heart School’s Band and Chorus Spring Concert will be held on Tuesday, May 23, at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 118 Taunton Ave. Tickets are $5 for adults. Children under 12 are free. A 50/50 raffle will also take place at the event. Proceeds will benefit the music program.

SVET the Violinist to perform at McVinney Auditorium

PROVIDENCE — McVinney Auditorium launches its 2017 Performing Arts Series with SVET the Violinist. SVET, the electro hip hop violinist from America’s Got Talent, performs for one night only at McVinney Auditorium, 43 Dave Gavitt Way, on Friday, June 16 at 7 p.m. as part of his 60-city international “String Theory” Tour. Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church to hold May Breakfast

BRISTOL — Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State St., will host a May Breakfast on Sunday, May 21, from 7:30 a.m. to noon in the parish center. This year’s menu includes French toast, scrambled eggs, pancakes (gluten-free available on request), sausage, home fries, pastries and more. Tickets are $8 for adults, and $4 for children at the door. All proceeds will cover the expenses associated with this year’s parish feast, the oldest Italian feast in Rhode Island, to be held on the town common July 13 to 16. Holy Angels Parish to host Spring Breakfast

Scalabrini-Dukcevich Center to host Scalabrini Day

PROVIDENCE — On Saturday, June 3, the Scalabrini-Dukcevich Center is sponsoring the fifth annual Scalabrini Day Celebration for the dual purpose of highlighting the Catholic/biblical understanding of migration according to the charism of the blessed Bishop John Baptist Scalabrini and raising funds for the services to migrants offered year-round by the Center. White Elephant Sale to benefit Cluny School

NEWPORT — Cluny School parents will hold a White Elephant sale to benefit the school on Saturday, May 20, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Items for sale will be staged indoors, in the school’s former Lower School building at 75 Brenton Road. The sale will take place rain or shine. A wide variety of goods will be available for sale including household items, toys, sporting goods, holiday décor, clothing and jewelry, books, vintage records, furniture and more. As was announced in early March, Cluny School, founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny in 1957, will close at the end of the current academic year. As the school will incur expenses through summer 2017, proceeds from the White Elephant sale will help ensure the school can cover its financial obligations.

St. Rita’s to host Waterfront Festival

WARWICK — On Thursday, June 1 through Sunday, June 4, St. Rita’s Oakland Beach Parish will host its annual Waterfront Festival. For wholesome entertainment, bring family and friends to the fest of fun, food, carnival rides, raffles and games at the Father O’Hara Ballpark. Fireworks blast off Saturday evening, June 3, when the sun goes down. Ocean Tides to host annual Hall of Fame Dinner

NARRAGANSETT — The ninth annual Ocean Tides School Hall of Fame Dinner will be held on Friday, May 26, from 6 – 9 p.m., at The Dunes Club, 137 Boston Neck Road.
