Summer Camp for High School Boys

PROVIDENCE — All Catholic boys of high school age are invited to attend a Quo Vadis Days Camp to spend time with other young men discovering their purpose in life while having fun. The camp will be held from July 30 – August 2 at the Seminary of Our Lady of Providence. Quo Vadis Days Camp is led by priests and seminarians of the Diocese of Providence and is supported by the Office of Vocations. The camp will include reflections from priests and laymen, Mass with our bishop, an outdoor challenge course and other fun activities. St. Martha parish to host monthly BINGO

EAST PROVIDENCE — St. Martha parish is now offering a night of BINGO on the first Thursday of each month. The next scheduled night is Thursday, July 6. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., games start at 6:30 p.m. Cash and mystery prizes can be won. Food and beverages will be available. You must be 18+ to play.

Mother of Life Center to host Summer Gala to benefit ministry

CRANSTON — The Mother of Life Center will be hosting its first annual Summer Gala, Thursday, July 20, at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet, with the theme “Be Our Guest.” Enjoy hors d’oeuvres from 6-7 p.m. with light jazz and dinner beginning at 7 p.m. The evening will also feature dancing, a silent auction, photo booth and more. There will also be live entertainment from “Take it to the Bridge,” performing music for all ages. Tickets are $75 for adults and $50 for students. College and high school-valid ID upon check in. for 50th reunion

WARWICK — St. Xavier Academy is seeking classmates to celebrate their 50th year anniversary of the class of 1967 at the annual Homecoming and Reunion on Sunday, Oct. 22. Mass will begin at 11 a.m. at St. Timothy Church, Warwick. Luncheon will follow at the Quidnessett Country Club in North Kingstown. Knights of Columbus to hold annual family July 4th celebration

NORTH PROVIDENCE — The Knights of Columbus Dillon Council #3563 will hold its annual family July 4th celebration on Monday, July 3 at the council, located at 1675 Douglas Ave. The event will begin at 6 p.m., with fireworks at 9 p.m. The menu will include BBQ chicken, sausage, hamburgers, hot dogs, macaroni salad, watermelon and many other items. St. Joseph to host family-friendly magic, comedy show

PASCOAG — St. Joseph Parish will host ‘The Magic of David Oliver,’ a family-friendly show filled with magic, music, comedy and fun, along with dinner, on Friday, June 30, at 7 p.m. in the church hall, 183 Sayles Ave. The menu will include spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread and dessert. Doors open at 5 p.m., with the meal served at 6 p.m. and the show at 7 p.m. Tickets are $16 adults; $8 children (ages 5-15); children 4 and younger will be guests of the parish. There is a cap of $50 for any immediate family members attending together. Barbecue Chicken Dinner to be held at Holy Angels Parish

BARRINGTON — Holy Angels Parish welcomes the public to a Barbecue Chicken Dinner, being served in the air-conditioned, fully-accessible church hall, 341 Maple Ave., on Thursday, July 13. It will begin at 6 p.m. Orders-to-go may be picked up at 5 p.m. The $15 meal consists of half a grilled chicken, tossed salad, soft dinner roll, corn-on-the-cob, potato salad, watermelon, dessert and coffee. A one-quarter chicken dinner, offered for children age 12 and under, costs $8. Advance tickets are needed and will be available at the parish office through Monday, July 10. Carmelite Monastery to celebrate Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel

BARRINGTON — The Carmelite Monastery, 25 Watson Ave., will prayerfully celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Saturday, July 8 to Sunday, July 16 at 7 p.m. Father Martin Donnelly of Ireland, will celebrate the Liturgy of the Word and the Eucharist. He was ordained a priest in 1993 in the Benedictine community at Belmont Abbey in Cardiff, Wales. Immaculate Conception Church feast and festival

WESTERLY — The 89th annual celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel will take place at the church at 111 High Street. The feast begins with Triduum Masses on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, July 12, 13 and 14 at 7 p.m. On Saturday, July 15, there will be a family festival from noon until 10 p.m. on the church grounds, featuring favorite food specialties such as fried eggplant, sausage grinders, clams, baked goods and more. There will be live and recorded music, games for children, basket raffles and high-value item raffles.
