St. Xavier Academy seeks classmates for 50th reunion

WARWICK — St. Xavier Academy is seeking classmates to celebrate their 50th year anniversary of the class of 1967 at the annual Homecoming and Reunion on Sunday, Oct. 22. Mass will begin at 11 a.m. at St. Timothy Church, Warwick. Luncheon will follow at the Quidnessett Country Club in North Kingstown. Bus trip to National Shrine of Divine Mercy

STOCKBRIDGE, MASS. — St. Martha’s Divine Mercy Prayer Group is offering a bus trip to the National Shrine of Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Mass., on Sunday, August 20. The bus will arrive at St. Martha’s Church, 2595 Pawtucket Ave., in East Providence at 7:30 a.m. and leave at 8 a.m. The bus will depart the shrine at 5 p.m. The cost is $30 per person (brown bag lunch). Columban Fathers to hold festival, bazaar

School Sisters of Notre Dame New England to host fundraiser

Malden, MASS. — The School Sisters of Notre Dame New England will host a gathering on Sunday, September 10, from noon to 4 p.m. at Anthony’s of Malden, 105 Canal St., Malden, Mass., for former administrators, faculty, staff, students, family and friends of Msgr. Clarke Regional School, Narragansett and Holy Name of Jesus Grammar School, Providence. All are invited to come reminisce, renew friendships with the sisters and hear what SSND is doing today. Forget Me Not: A stage play about Alzheimer’s Disease to be held at McVinney

PROVIDENCE — The Forget Me Not Project raises the awareness of Alzheimer’s by meeting people where they are and sharing their stories with the world in hope of letting other caregivers know they are not alone. WARWICK — Sts Rose and Clement Parish, 111 Long St. in Warwick, will hold its “Spirit and Life” prayer meeting each second and fourth Wednesdays of the month. WEST WARWICK—St. Mary Church, 68 Church St., will observe a Marian Holy Hour on Tuesday, August 22, the Feast of the Queenship of Mary, at 7 p.m. The Holy Hour will include Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament, the praying of the rosary, scriptural readings, a reflection, an audio visual Marian presentation, the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Solemn Benediction. St. Mark Church to host annual summer festival

JAMESTOWN — St. Mark Church will hold its annual summer festival on Saturday, July 29 from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. The Knights of Columbus will serve hot dogs, hamburgers as well as pulled pork and chorizo sandwiches. Raffle tickets will be available that include cash prizes, a Samsung 43” 4K/UHD Smart LED TV, an electric guitar autographed by 1980 songwriter George Lynch, and an Oyster Bay and Barossa wine basket. Multiple themed baskets will also be available as raffle prizes. Specialty tables will include hand crafted items, fresh baked goods, gift, jewelry, religious, plants and vegetables. Annual Mass to honor ‘God the Father of All Mankind’
