Polish Festival Polkabration to be held in Woonsocket

WOONSOCKET — St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 174 Harris Ave. will hold its annual Polish Festival Polkabration on Saturday, August 26 from 3 – 10 p.m. The kitchen will open at noon. The festival will include delicious Polish and American food, games of chance, children’s entertainment and live music. Admission is free and all are welcome.

St. Eugene Parish to host annual Yard Sale

CHEPATCHET — St. Eugene will host its annual Yard Sale on Saturday, August 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. (no early birds please) at the church, located at 1247 Putnam Pike. The event will also feature raffles, including one for a 16GB Apple iPad and a $250 gift certificate at Dino’s Market in Chepatchet, as well as for 12 themed baskets. Refreshments will include hamburgers, hot dogs, baked goods, root beer floats, coffee, soda and more. In the event of inclement weather the rain date is Saturday, August 26. SS. Rose and Clement Parish to offer ‘Spirit and Life’ prayer meeting, adoration

WARWICK — Sts .Rose and Clement Parish, 111 Long St., in Warwick, will hold its “Spirit and Life” prayer meeting each second and fourth Wednesdays of the month. The evening will begin with the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. followed by scripture study and healing prayer at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome. The parish will also conduct first Friday adoration and devotions including the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and Benediction on August 4 at 7 p.m. in the church. Please join us for prayer.

St. Bartholomew Church to hold annual feast and festival

PROVIDENCE — St. Bartholomew Church will hold their annual feast and festival August 11 from 5-10 p.m. and August 12-13 from 3 – 10 p.m. on the church grounds, 297 Laurel Hill Ave. The feast will feature a variety of Italian, American and Spanish foods as well as nightly musical entertainment with Gemini Band playing on Saturday from 6 – 10 p.m. Rockwell Amusements will provide amusement rides and games. A prayer service in preparation of the feast will be held on Thursday, August 10 at 7 p.m. A tri-lingual Mass in honor of St. Bartholomew will be celebrated on Sunday, August 13 at 10:30 a.m. with solemn religious procession following. Woodlawn Catholic Regional to host Open Houses

PAWTUCKET — Woodlawn Catholic Regional School will host an Open House on two Sundays, August 20 and August 27, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at 61 Hope St. in Pawtucket. Annual Feast Day to be celebrated at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, Shrine

HARRISVILLE — St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church and Shrine, 35 Dion Drive, is celebrating its annual Church and Shrine Feast Day Sunday, August 20, beginning at 10 a.m. with prayers at Holy Stairs, followed by the Stations of the Cross at 11 a.m. Please enjoy chowder and clam cakes, hamburgers, and hot dogs, offered at a minimal fee at noon, while the parish musicians present a concert. Yard sale to benefit Sacred Heart School

Annual Motorcycle Run to benefit Youth Ministry

CUMBERLAND — Our Lady of Fatima Church Youth Ministry, One Fatima Drive, will have it’s annual Motorcycle Run on Saturday, September 2. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with the ride following at 10:30 a.m. The escorted ride will last about 1.5 hours and returning to church for food. Riders are $25 and passengers are $15. Forget Me Not: A stage play about Alzheimer’s Disease to be held at McVinney

PROVIDENCE — The Forget Me Not Project raises the awareness of Alzheimer’s by meeting people where they are and sharing their stories with the world in hope of letting other caregivers know they are not alone. JOHNSTON — Saint Rocco Church will host its annual feast and festival on August 17 – 20 (Thursday-Saturday from 6 – 10:30 p.m. and Sunday from 1 - 10 p.m.) The traditional religious procession with the statue of St. Rocco will take place following the 11 a.m. Mass.
