Holy Hour for Healing

PROVIDENCE — St. Pius Church, 55 Elmhurst Ave., will hold a Holy Hour for Healing, February 1, 7-8 p.m., in the church. Children are welcome and the church is handicapped accessible. For more information, call 353-5982.

St. Alexander services

WARREN — St. Alexander Church, 221 Main St., will offer Ash Wednesday Masses, February 6, 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Every Friday during Lent, beginning February 8, Stations of the Cross will be conducted by parishioners at 3 p.m. For more information, call 245-6369.

Magnificat program

PROVIDENCE — Magnificat, a ministry to Catholic women, will meet on February 2, 8:30 a.m.-noon, at the Providence Marriott Hotel, One Orms St. The event will include prayer, a meal and faith sharing. The guest speaker will be Mary Hadley, who will share her devotion to the Blessed Mother and talk about issues of faith and family. Father John Randall is spiritual advisor to the group. Chowder and clamcake supper

WOONSOCKET — St. Anthony Church, 128 Greene St., will hold a chowder and clam cake supper, February 8, beginning at 4:30 p.m. The menu will include chowder, clam cakes, coffee and dessert. Proceeds will benefit the “Keep the Heat On” campaign. For more information, call 766-2640.

Lenten education program

WARWICK — St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 596 Jefferson Boulevard, will hold a Lenten education program, beginning Ash Wednesday, February 6, 7 p.m., and continuing every Wednesday through March 19. Sessions will be conducted in the St. Francis School library by Father John A. Kiley, pastor and Rhode Island Catholic columnist, who will lead a discussion about the Parables of Jesus Christ as found in the synoptic Gospels. For more information, call 737-5191.

St. Francis Parish Mission

WARWICK — St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 596 Jefferson Boulevard, will hold a Lenten mission, beginning February 10, 7 p.m., and continuing through February 13. The mission will be conducted by Franciscan Father Raphael Bonanno, who will also celebrate Mass daily and lead the Lenten services each night. Father Bonanno will preach on the theme of “God’s Love, Forgiveness and Healing,” and will also reach out to the parish’s homebound, school students and religious education students. National African American Family Day of Prayer
