PROVIDENCE – The Most Rev. Thomas J. Tobin, Bishop of Providence, will celebrate a special Lenten Mass for Catholic school students Wednesday, February 6, at the 12:05 p.m. Mass in the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul in Providence. The theme for this year’s celebration is Discover Jesus Christ, the Way.
More than 600 students will gather together in the Cathedral to mark the beginning of the Lenten Season. Several students will also participate in the Mass as altar servers, readers, and gift bearers.
The music for the celebration will be provided by the St. Mary Academy-Bay View Choir under the direction of Christine Kavanagh.
