Catholic Athletic League cross-country finals

Student athletes from more than 25 Catholic elementary and middle schools gathered at Slater Park for the 2017 Catholic Athletic League cross-country finals on Wednesday, Oct. 18.

In the individual competition, Julia D’Amico of Immaculate Conception Catholic Regional School, Cranston, placed first in the girls’ competition with Grace O’Hanlon of St. Mary-Sacred Heart School, North Attleboro, as runner-up, and Matt DelSesto of Bishop Hendricken High School, Warwick, placed first in the boys’ competition with Evan McGregor of Father John V. Doyle School, Coventry, as runner-up.

In the team competition, Monsignor Clarke School, Wakefield, placed first in the girls’ competition with St. Philip School, Greenville, as runner-up, and St. Philomena School, Portsmouth, placed first in the boys’ competition with Bishop Hendricken High School, Warwick, as runner-up.
