PROVIDENCE — Deacon Pedro J. Lopez, 59, of Providence, died on Monday, June 3.
Born in Cayey, Puerto Rico a son of Susana (Collazo) and the late Angel L. Lopez. He was the husband of Hilda Lopez. Deacon Lopez was the former pastoral assistant at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Providence.
Besides his wife and mother he is survived by three sons and one daughter; Pedro E. Lopez and his wife Brenda Rivera, Andrés, and Angel L. Lopez, and Jessica Lopez and her husband Asim Barakzai. Grandfather of Brayan, Andrew, Marcus, Valerie, and Isabella.
He was the brother of Eugenio, Angel L., Virgen, Doris, Antonia and Maria Lopez and the late Candida Lopez.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, June 7 at St. Anthony Church, Providence with burial following in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
