Dr. Joseph Novello to visit La Salle to discuss his new book 'DAG: Savior of AIDS Orphans"

Author to share details of biography of Father Angelo D’Agostino, Jesuit priest and La Salle graduate

PROVIDENCE —On Wednesday, March 25, at 1:45 p.m., author Dr. Joseph Novello will visit La Salle Academy to give a talk and sign copies of his book, “DAG: Savior of AIDS Orphans,” a biography of Father Angelo D’Agostino, a Jesuit priest and 1943 La Salle graduate.
Father D’Agostino (Dag) is being considered for sainthood for his extensive work on behalf of Kenyan orphans during the AIDS epidemic in the 1980s until his death in 2006.
A friend and colleague of “Dag” for more than 30 years, Dr. Novello conducted over 450 interviews. The staff at La Salle Academy provided valuable assistance for his research. A faculty member will also share their own account of Father D’Agostino’s life works and accomplishments. Light refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the talk.
