Enders Island golf classic will benefit recovery programs

MYSTIC – The Sixth Annual Enders Island Golf Classic will take place Monday, June 16 at Stonington Country Club. with registration beginning at 11:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

Recovery programs have been offered at Enders Island since 1967 and today the island is a safe and special retreat destination for 12-step and other recovery groups. More than 8,000 men and women visit Enders Island for recovery and renewal on an annual basis.

With the help and generosity of the community and benefitted by proceeds from the Golf Classic specifically, six 12-step meetings weekly and 21 scheduled recovery retreats are now held on an annual basis.

The cost per person to play is $175; tee sponsorships for $200 and several other sponsorship and participation opportunities are available.

On September 6, Enders Island, home of St. Edmund’s Retreat Center, will celebrate its 40th Anniversary of recovery programs with an AA Jamboree. They are asking partners to support those who seek healing and renewal by visiting the island, participating in the tournament, or becoming a sponsor of the Enders Island Classic.
