Father Robert Marciano: A tireless priest

TO THE EDITOR:

For those who don’t know, Father Robert Marciano of Warwick wears many hats as he performs many duties. Father is pastor of St. Kevin and St. Benedict Churches and president of Bishop Hendricken. A retired Lieutenant Colonel and chaplain in the Air National Guard, Father Marciano has served as chaplain of the Warwick Police and Fire departments, as well as a board member on R.I. Right to Life and Bryant University, just to name a few. Needless to say, Father is a tireless worker who puts his own needs aside in order to serve others. I’ve personally known Father Bob since 1995, as he has been a wonderful friend to me and my family. He is a special priest because of the hopeful, happy and cheerful way he leads his congregation. St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta once said: “Holiness does not consist in doing extraordinary things. It consists of accepting, with a smile and joyful heart, what Jesus sends us. It consists in accepting and following the will of God.” That’s you, Father. Thank you, Father Bob, for all you do for others and for being my dear friend.
