Grateful for their dedicated service

Many filled St. Philip Church in Greenville on Sunday, May 19, to honor religious jubilarians celebrating anniversaries in ministry.

Assistant Pastor of St. Philip Church Father Ryan Simas welcomed all those gathered, thanking jubilarians for the incredible service to the church.
“You’re all a true inspiration to all of us, of faithful and selfless service dedicated to building up the kingdom of God,” said Father Simas.

In his homily, Bishop Thomas J. Tobin congratulated the religious sisters, brothers and priests, and prayed that God will bless them abundantly, now and in the days and years to come.
“Religious share their love of God in charitable and apostolic ways and we are certainly grateful for that throughout the Diocese of Providence. The consecration to God, communion with one another and mission and service to the church and world, that’s how religious express and manifest the love of God.”
