One million Rosaries for unborn babies to be offered May 3

Posted

PROVIDENCE – The Saint Michael the Archangel Organization in Memphis, TN., is suggesting five ways an individual can promote the Million Rosaries for Unborn Babies prayer event on Saturday, May 3, 2008.

In the Diocese of Providence and throughout the entire state of Rhode Island, the suggested time for the reciting of the Rosary will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Here are a few suggestions offered by the Respect Life Office during the suggested time period. People of Life of all ages can pray the Rosary on the sidewalks of one of the two abortion clinics. Rosary and Altar groups can meet in the parish for a one hour vigil. You can invite family and friends to your home to pray the Rosary or gather a group to meet on a busy thoroughfare as we have done for the Life Chain in October. In the quietness of your home, in your favorite spot to pray, say the Rosary between the 9 and 10 a.m. hour.

The intention of this prayer event is for an end to the surgical and non-surgical killing of unborn babies according to the St. Michael organization. The Respect Life Office has registered as a participant for this special prayer event. Bulletin announcements are suggested and the Respect Life Office can prepare notices upon request.

The Respect Life Office is encouraging individuals and groups to gather at the Broad Street Woman’s Clinic at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 3 for a quiet, peaceful and prayerful vigil and to recite the Rosary from 9:00 a.m. to 10 a.m. For more information and ideas for your parish adult or youth group call 421-7833 x 118.
