Please support your diocesan newspaper this Christmas

Rhode Island Catholic, the longtime chronicle of faith, family and life in the Diocese of Providence, as well as the second largest paid circulation publication in the state, serves a critical role in keeping the faithful informed.

As Bishop Thomas J. Tobin has said, “The Rhode Island Catholic continues to be an essential part of the communications effort of the Diocese of Providence. Each week it provides important news and informed opinion about the Church — around the world, nationally and locally — that can be found nowhere else. It also offers a very useful source of information for our parishes, schools and organizations. I encourage the faithful readers of our paper to be generous once again this year in supporting our annual Christmas Appeal.”

This week and next, envelopes are being included with the newspaper to help facilitate contributions to our Christmas Appeal. Donations can also be made online at http://www.thericatholic.com/donate.html

Every gift makes a difference and will help our newspaper to continue its mission of evangelization.

Rhode Island Catholic relies heavily on subscription and advertising sales, along with generous donations, to continue its 143-year mission of bringing the Good News to the faithful.

We are grateful for your support of our ministry and wish each of you a Blessed Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
