Two student-athletes from The Prout School who have displayed excellence and integrity both on and off the field were State Finalists for the Wendy’s® High School Heisman®. Seniors Kane Hall of Narragansett and Mariah King of Carolina will go on to compete for the title of Rhode Island State Winner, where one male and one female student from each state receives a Wendy’s High School Heisman Scholarship. The scholarship was created by Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas in 1994. Twenty-two years later, the program has honored more than 600,000 of the nation’s most esteemed high school seniors who share the values of giving back to their communities, continuing education and excelling on the athletic field.
