The schedule for next year’s annual Respect Life bus trip to Washington, D.C. follows: The bus will depart from Rhode Island on January 21, with pick-up and return drop-off sites to be announced.

The Respect Life bus will travel to Verizon Center, where a youth rally and Mass will be held. Participants will join Steve Angrisano, Matt Maher, Vallimar Jansen and cardinals and bishops for these events. Archbishop Donald Wuerl of Washington will celebrate the Youth Mass with many other clergy from around the country.

Admission is free. Small backpacks, signs and banners will be allowed in the building. Poles and larger signs will be stored in the lobby area. Breakfast and lunch items can be purchased at the concessions and nearby restaurants. It is a reasonable walk to the National Mall for the March for Life.

More than 150,000 “friends of life” will gather at the Mall for the noon National Rally for Life and the March for Life as one of the trip options.

The other option will be to go directly to the Capitol to meet with Rhode Island representatives and senators at their Capitol Hill offices. (Tips on “Meeting Your Congressperson” will be provided with background information on issues)

Buses will depart from Washington, DC on January 22 at 4 p.m.

If you can’t join us this year we welcome donations and sponsorships for youth!
