The deaf community of St. Patrick Church gathered after Holy Mass to receive of ashes on February 26. All those who gathred enjoyed a very spiritual and joy-filled evening.

Sacred music was provided by Sarah Mulholland and Alex Cuellar.

“In a special way we want to thank God for the gifts of Father James Ruggieri and Robert Remigio who made it possible for all to fully participate in the sacraments,” said Irma I. Rodríguez, director of the Office of the Apostolate for People with Disabilities. “Robert brings the gift of interpreting in ASL with perfection the beauty and mysteries of our faith. Father James helps us to answer the Lord’s invitation to enter into this holy season of prayer, fasting and almsgiving with Holy Mass, spiritual guidance and reception of the ashes which will help us develop a spirit of humility and sacrifice.”
