CUMBERLAND — Mercy Sister Mary Hortense Cutler, 91, a retired care giver, died May 10 at Mount St. Rita Health Centre.
Born in Gardner, MA, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Ledoux) Cutler. She entered the Sisters of Mercy on February 11, 1935 and professed her vows on August 15, 1937.
Sister Cutler served in convents in the dioceses of Providence and Fall River, MA. She ministered at Mount St. Rita Health Care Centre from 1971 to 1995, and retired in 2001.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Henry, Walter and Richard Cutler and Muriel Hunt.
A?Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated May 14 in Mount St. Rita Chapel. Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
