Many Rhode Islanders gathered at the Rhode Island State House for the fifteenth annual Rosary for Life on Thursday, March 22. The event is sponsored by Servants of Christ for Life, a Providence-based pro-life organization. Several local pro-life advocates shared their personal stories including, from left, Christina Frye founder of Catholic Mom Rhode Island and co-founder of the Salgi Esophageal Cancer Research Foundation; Sonia Morales, who runs a pro-life online community inspired by her late daughter Baby Angela; and Christiana Gondreau whose son Dominic is known worldwide for the embrace he shared with Pope Francis on his first Easter Sunday in St. Peter’s Square. While pregnant with Dominic, who has cerebral palsy, she was offered abortion because of his imminent arrival as a micro-preemie.
