Sacred Heart Parish to host Deanery Holy Hour

35th annual Lakeside Family Festival
EAST FREETOWN, Mass. — St. John Neumann Church invites all to their 35th annual Lakeside Family Festival during Memorial Day Weekend, May 24‒27, from 6-11 p.m. on Friday; Saturday and Sunday noon-11 p.m.; and Monday noon-5 p.m., with a huge Barn Sale all weekend, plus amusement rides and entertainment. Masses for Recovery
WEST WARWICK — The next Mass for Recovery will be offered on Sunday, May 26, 5 p.m., at St. Mary Church, 70 Church St. These Masses, to which all are welcome, provide an opportunity for people to come together in faith to seek God’s loving kindness and grace with special prayer intentions dedicated for those in recovery. If you or loved ones struggle with alcohol, drugs, addictions, mental distress, or support folks who suffer from the effects of these issues, you are encouraged to attend. Garden Party and Parish Picnic at St. Agnes Church
PROVIDENCE — St. Agnes Church, 351 Branch Ave., will hold its annual Garden Party and Parish Picnic on Sunday, May 26, after the 10 a.m. Mass. You can plant a perennial or flowering shrub in memory of a loved one. Children are encouraged to plant annuals on the church grounds. The picnic will follow the planting.
Knights of Columbus to host blood drive
BRISTOL — The Knights of Columbus Council 379 of Bristol will host a blood drive at the Monsignor Lolio Parish Center, 141 State St., from 8 a.m.-noon on Sunday May 26. Coffee and doughnuts will be provided. All are welcome and encouraged to participate.
Memorial Day Mass
EAST BLACKSTONE, Mass. — A Memorial Day Mass for all the faithful departed will be celebrated on Monday, May 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery, 116 Farm St. Worshippers are welcome to bring a lawn chair. In the event of rain, a notice will be posted on stcharlesborromeo.com that morning and the Mass will then be held upstairs in the parish church of St. Charles on Daniel St., Woonsocket. This general invitation is open to all who wish to honor the dead in a prayerful manner.
Work of the Holy Angels Mission
PROVIDENCE — The annual Mission preached by the Canons Regular of the Holy Cross will take place in the Lady Chapel at The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, 99 Camp St., from May 27-29. The preacher this year is Rev. Canon William Wagner, O.R.C. On Monday and Tuesday, the program begins at 6:30 p.m. with Confessions and Rosary. This is followed at 7 p.m. with the celebration of Holy Mass followed by the Conference of the Day. The theme of the Monday conference is: The Seven Laws of Love, the gifts of the Spirit in the Work of the Holy Angels. On Tuesday, the conference concerns the story of the Archangel Raphael and Tobias. On Wednesday, the program also begins with Confessions and the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. At 7 p.m. the celebration of Holy Mass will include the Consecration to the Guardian Angel of those who have completed their formation year. The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola
WARWICK — Called By Name Ministry will offer The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola - A Retreat in Daily Life. This is a lived experience of praying, meditating and reflecting on Scripture in order to grow in union with God and to discern God’s will. Mass at St. Mary Church to be celebrated for the protection, defense of human life
WEST WARWICK— All are invited to join together in St. Mary Church, 68 Church St., on Friday, May 31, the Feast of the Visitation of Mary to Elizabeth, at 7 p.m. Mass will be celebrated for the protection and defense of human life, from biological conception to natural death. Learn counseling skills to help women considering abortion
CHARLESTOWN — Saint Mary’s Respect Life Committee will host pro-life advocate Tyler Rowley of Servants of Christ for Life. He will speak on counseling women who are considering an abortion. Our Lady of Loreto Parish Breakfast
EAST PROVIDENCE — Our Lady of Loreto Parish will host a breakfast on Sunday, June 2, from 9 a.m. to noon in Loreto’s school hall.
