‘Light of Education Foundation’ Night
FISKDALE, Mass. — “Light of Education Foundation” Night, an introduction, discussion and video of a day in the life of a child in Haiti, will be held on July 12, at 6:30 p.m., at St. Anne-St Patrick Parish, St. Joachim Chapel, 16 Church St., Fiskdale, Mass. Guest speaker will be Magalie Olivier, Foundation Director. The Light of Education Foundation, begun in 2016 in the Malden, Mass. area, is a non-profit organization founded and headed by Father Stanley Rousseau of Haiti. It strives to provide education and personal development for the underprivileged children of Savanne du Bois, Margiot, Haiti through the building of a fledgling school. Admission is free.

Annual Festival of the Family at St. Edward Church
PROVIDENCE — St. Edward Church will host the 13th Annual Festival of the Family in honor of our Lady of Mt. Carmel on Saturday and Sunday, July 14 and 15. Celebration will start after the 6 p.m. Spanish Mass on Saturday and will include plenty of traditional Spanish food and dancing. Sunday will start with a procession and rosary at 10 a.m. followed by a bilingual Mass at 10:30 a.m., with blessing of cars after Mass. There will be live music, dancing, face painting, games, raffles, cookout and a folk dancing presentation. The Grand Raffle will be drawn at 7 p.m.
Pondering the Future of Faith
BOSTON, Mass. —The 18th annual Evelyn Underhill Lecture in Christian Spirituality will be held on Saturday, July 14, 10 a.m., at Robsham Theater Arts Center, Chestnut Hill Campus, Boston College. The future of faith and the prospects of the Church can seem bleak. Is there room for hope? If so, what shape would hope take? This lecture explores a hope for the future that holds together trust in God, self-criticism, and openness to the unexpected. Immaculate Conception Church feast and festival
WESTERLY — The 90th annual celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel will take place at the church at 111 High St. On Saturday, July 14: Italian Street Festival, from noon until 9 p.m., featuring favorite food specialties such as fried eggplant, sausage grinders, pasta and meatballs, pizza, clams, baked goods and more. Children and teens invited to 2018 Summer Bible Camp
COVENTRY — Children and teens are invited to join the parishes of Our Lady of Czenstochowa and Saint Vincent de Paul for this year’s Summer Bible Camp, from July 16 – 22, 9 a.m. – noon daily, at the school building at Our Lady of Czenstochowa, 445 Washington St. The theme this year is “Jesus Is My Superhero.” All children are welcome to join us for an exciting week of games, crafts, and snacks. Local author Genevieve Kineke to speak on #MeToo movement

New support group for divorced and separated Catholics
CAROLINA — The Office of Life and Family is offering a new support group for divorced and separated Catholics at St. Mary Church, rectory (downstairs, side entrance), 437 Carolina Back Road. The group is ongoing and will be held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, from 7 - 8:30 p.m. There are no costs to attend. This support group embraces our Catholic faith and God’s grace, and provides a peaceful place for sharing, healing and for topics/discussions related to separation/divorce. Parish communities help offer meals, clothing to neighboring communities
WARWICK —Saints Rose and Clement’s Mother Teresa group has been providing free delicious meals, including desserts, and an assortment of free, gently-worn clothing in an assortment of sizes, to neighboring communities. The locations have been made possible through the kindness of the First Congregational Church of Warwick, at 715 Oakland Beach Ave., and Saints John and James, at 20 Washington St., in West Warwick. Their parish halls are alive with food and fellowship at our 5 p.m. meals held on the second Tuesday and the fourth Friday of the month. Mother Teresa Outreach Ministry is on Facebook.
