Take the Lead Conference at McVinney

PROVIDENCE — Take The Lead Conference (TTL Conference), will take place on Friday, Nov. 10, 7 p.m. in McVinney Auditorium, 43 Dave Gavitt Way. The conference is an experience for teams and youth groups that works to “empower a generation to step out of the shadows and into the forefront of shaping the culture through an encounter with Jesus.” The conference offers spontaneous worship and prayer times, dynamic national speakers and an overall intense encounter with God. Knights to host Turkey Raffle

RIVERSIDE — The Bishop Hickey Council Knights of Columbus, 20 Crescent View Ave., will hold their annual Turkey Raffle on Friday, Nov. 10, at 6 p.m. Five complete Thanksgiving dinners will be raffled. There will also be free hot dogs, grilled cheese sandwiches, pizza and coffee. All are welcome.

Special events planned at St. Thomas the Apostle Church

WARREN — St. Thomas the Apostle parish, 500 Metacom Ave., will host its annual bazaar, country store and pie sale on Saturday, Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parish hall. Homemade pies, handmade crafts and holiday specialties will be featured. Malassadas, cacoila and chourico and pepper sandwiches will also be sold. The Roman Catholic parishes of Warren will celebrate their annual Thanksgiving Mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. All are invited to participate. Christmas Bazaar at St. Robert Bellarmine Church

JOHNSTON — St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, will host the fundraising Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 11 from noon - 4:30 p.m. and from 6:15 – 8 p.m. The bazaar will feature food, games, crafts, raffles, a silent auction and vendors and will benefit St. Robert’s Food Shelf, which provides food to all neighbors in need, regardless of religious affiliation. Knights to host breakfast

NORTH KINGSTOWN — The Knights of Columbus will hold a breakfast at the council hall, 1265 Tower Hill Road, on Sunday, Nov. 12, from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. The menu will feature, eggs, sausage patties, pumpkin pancakes with pumpkin butter, baked beans, hot and cold cereal, orange juice, coffee and tea. The cost is $10.00; children 6 and under are free.

Winter Wonderland Bazaar and Craft Show

Annual Christmas Bazaar and Craft Fair at Queen of Martyrs

WOONSOCKET — Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish in Woonsocket will hold their annual Christmas Bazaar and Craft Fair Saturday, Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Norm Malo Hall at Msgr. Gadoury School, 1371 Park Ave., which is handicapped accessible. The event is organized by the OLQM Holy Name Society and Outreach Ministry and will feature a gift certificate raffle, themed baskets, split-the-pot, vendors, homemade pastries, fudge and a candy booth. Christmas Bazaar slated at St. Kevin’s Parish

WARWICK — St. Kevin’s Parish will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., at Bishop Hendricken High School, 2615 Warwick Ave. The bazaar will feature a big cash raffle, handcrafted items, baked goods, a turkey trot, attic treasures, books, penny social, basket raffles, Christmas decor and much more. Youngsters can play in the Children’s Corner while parents shop. Santa will visit from noon - 2 p.m. for photos and requests. Twenty vendors will also offer specialty items for sale. New Catholic Group for Mothers scheduled

PROVIDENCE — A new “Catholic Moms Group” in Rhode Island will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 6 p.m. at Holy Ghost Church. The group will meet in the church hall located in the basement. The group is intended to provide support, friendship and the affirmation of our role as Catholic mothers. Fathers and children are also welcome to attend the group meetings. Mass for Health and Healing planned

WARREN — On Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. at St. Jean Baptiste Church, 324 Main St., the community will celebrate the monthly Mass for Health and Healing. This Mass takes place on the second Tuesday evening of each month. All who are experiencing emotional, physical or spiritual challenges are encouraged to receive the sacrament of the sick and be prayed with. Following Mass the sacrament of reconciliation will be available. All are welcome.

Annual Turkey Trot at St. Bartholomew
