St. Thomas More Parish to show ‘Unplanned’
NARRAGANSETT — A celebration for life including the showing of the hit movie, “Unplanned: The Abby Johnson Story” will take place on Saturday, Nov. 16 at St. Veronica Chapel, 1035 Boston Neck Road, following the 4 p.m. Mass, with the movie beginning at 5:30 p.m. Admission is free and snacks provided. Come, bring a friend to learn about the area pro-life resources, and see “Unplanned.” Children under 17 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or have a signed permission slip. St. Mary’s Fall Yard Sale
PROVIDENCE — St. Mary Church in Providence, 538 Broadway, will be holding a yard sale on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and on Sunday, Nov. 17, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. All proceeds will go towards repairing the bell tower. Items will be sold for free-will donations, not individually priced.
St. James Church to host Bazaar, Flea Market
MANVILLE — St. James Church, 33 Division St. will hold its annual parish bazaar and giant flea market on Saturday, Nov. 16, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., in the Father Brindamour church hall, (bazaar and kitchen) and the Father Brouillette Center (flea market). Parish crafts such as wreaths, centerpieces, handmade ornaments, handcrafted jewelry, crochet and knit goods will be for sale as well as gifts for adults and children and baked goods, raffles, penny social, split-the-pot, gift certificates, and gift baskets. St. Thomas the Apostle Parish Holiday Bazaar
WARREN — St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, 500 Metacom Ave., will have its annual holiday bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. The bazaar will feature a wide array of holiday items, the country store and the annual pie sale. The kitchen will be open to sell malassadas and other food.
Saints John and Paul Church Snowflake Bazaar
COVENTRY — Saints John and Paul Church, 341 South Main St., will host the 62nd Snowflake Bazaar on November 16, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and November 17, from 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Booths will feature handmade holiday crafts, homemade cookies, bingo, snack café, baked goods, children’s games and crafts, sports memorabilia, religious gifts, jewelry, raffles, gift baskets, a visit from Santa and more.
2019 Carmelite Monastery Benefit Concert
BARRINGTON — The Discalced Carmelite Nuns of Barrington will host the annual benefit concert of “Sacred and Seasonal Music,” on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019 at 3 p.m., performed by the Gregorian Concert Choir. The concert will take place at the Carmelite Monastery Chapel, 25 Watson Ave, Barrington. Hope and Cope support group to meet
PORTSMOUTH — The St. Matthias Ministry Hope and Cope Support Group will meet on Sunday, Nov. 17, from 5 - 6 p.m. in the chapel meeting room, under the chapel, at St. Barnabas Church, 1697 E. Main Road. If you know someone who is supporting a loved one or friend in need of recovery or currently in recovery yourself, then this group is for you. This program is free and provides a wonderful focus on Catholic Spirituality to support recovery. No registration is required. Coping with Grief during the Holidays
EAST PROVIDENCE —The Office of Life and Family will offer a special workshop, “Coping with Grief during the Holidays,” which will be held at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 346 Waterman Ave., on Monday, Nov. 18, 6:30 – 8 p.m., at the rectory (side door, downstairs). Coping with grief during the holidays can be a time of great sorrow and apprehension. Many struggle with pain, loss, and feelings of emptiness, as well as countless other difficult thoughts and emotions. This workshop is designed to help those who are grieving to begin to heal and establish healthy ways to cope during the holidays with meaning, love and purpose, all within the light of the Catholic faith. Office of Life and Family to offer the Our Lady of Sorrows Bereavement Support program
JOHNSTON — The Office of Life and Family will offer the Our Lady of Sorrows Bereavement Support program at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Ave., downstairs in lower church (not handicap accessible). The meetings will be held on Tuesday evenings 6:30 – 8 p.m., November 19, through January 21, 2020, except for the weeks of Christmas and New Year’s. This support group provides a peaceful place to share and learn about grief with the spiritual comfort of the Catholic faith. Christ the King to host annual concert
KINGSTON — Christ the King Church will host its 31st annual concert, featuring Tom Kendzia and the Christ the King Youth Choir — conducted by Heather Skidds — with special guest David Haas, on Thursday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 22, at 7 p.m., at Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road. Christmas Bingo at Sacred Heart Church
EAST PROVIDENCE — There will be a Christmas Bingo on Saturday, Dec. 7 in the Sacred Heart Church Hall, 118 Taunton Ave. The doors will open at 6 p.m. and games will begin at 6:30 p.m. There will be 21 games of Bingo. Participants will play 20 regular games for a chance to win $50 gift cards from area businesses. There will be a Grand Prize Game for a chance to win a 50 inch flat screen TV. Surviving the Holidays GriefShare Seminar

The GriefShare seminar can help through the difficult emotions you may be experiencing this time of year.
