Bingo Night at St. Kevin Church

WARWICK — Bingo Night in St. Kevin Church Hall, 333 Sandy Lane, will be held on the first Saturday of each month. Doors open at 5 p.m. and Bingo begins at 6 p.m. The evening will include food, prizes and refreshments.

Women of Grace study program

Amos House volunteer tax preparers needed

PROVIDENCE — Amos House is a leading social services agency in South Providence founded by Sister Eileen Murphy in 1976. It prepares free tax returns for income-qualified individuals and families from the beginning of February through mid-April. Please consider donating five hours of your time each week to serve as a tax preparer or greeter. Participants receive IRS training and certification. St. Agnes Church Christmas Star Festival

PROVIDENCE — St. Agnes Church, 351 Branch Ave., will host the Christmas Star Festival in the church hall, on Friday, Nov. 23, from 5 – 8 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 24, from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 25, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. It will feature a silent auction, penny socials for both adults and children, grab bags for both adults and children, a bake table, pot of gold, grand raffle, books and jewelry. Friday night will feature chowder and clam cakes with take-out available. The kitchen will be open on all three days. The children’s craft room will be open on Saturday, Nov. 24, from noon – 4 p.m.

Bay View to host All-Academy Information Night

RIVERSIDE - St. Mary Academy - Bay View will hold an All-Academy Information Night on Tuesday, Nov., 27 from 6-7:30 p.m. for prospective families’ interested preschool through grade 12. Topics of discussion will include academic programs, curriculum, AP course offerings, tuition, scholarships and financial aid, and the benefits of an all-girls education. ‘The Wonder of Christmas,’ a Bazaar and Craft Fair

HARRISVILLE — St. Theresa and Our Lady of Good Help Parishes will hold The Wonder of Christmas, a Bazaar and Craft Fair, on Friday, Nov. 30, from noon – 7 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. The event will be held in St. Theresa’s Church hall, 35 Dion Dr. The event will include handmade craft items, a penny social, many gift certificates, cash raffle, holiday gifts, attic treasures, baked goods, homemade chocolates and a visit from Santa. Coping with Grief at the Holidays

EAST PROVIDENCE — Coping with Grief at the Holidays workshop will offer positive suggestions to help with the adjustment that must be made during the holiday season. On Monday, Dec. 3 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. Peter Magnotta, MSW LICSW, from the diocesan Office of Life and Family Ministry will offer a special session to prepare for the holidays at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 346 Waterman Ave. This event is free but pre-registration is required by November 30 to enable sufficient handouts. Christmas Bazaar to benefit ‘Keep the Heat On’ program

PROVIDENCE — St. Sebastian’s Parish, 67 Cole Ave., will host a Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. to benefit the diocesan ‘Keep the Heat On’ heating assistance program. The bazaar will feature Advent wreaths and calendars, Christmas decorations, a penny social, gift basket raffles, handmade items, a café, White Elephant room, baked goods, children’s crafts and a visit from Santa Claus. Little Sisters of the Poor to host annual Turkey Drop

Bristol County Chorus to perform at St. Mary’s Church

BRISTOL — The Bristol County Chorus will present their 38th annual Christmas concert on Dec. 2, at St. Mary’s Church, Wood Street, at 3 p.m. The chorus and orchestra will be conducted by new director of music, Nicholas Rocha, alongside guest conductor and group founder Joan Roth. Featured soloists include soprano Sheila Humphrey-Zuccarello, director of music at St. Mary of the Bay in Warren; and mezzo-soprano Diana Carvalho, cantor for Holy Angels Church in Barrington. Titled, “A Christmas Gloria,” the concert celebrates themes of peace and rejoicing through beloved holiday music by master Baroque composers Bach, Handel and Vivaldi. A Musical Journey through Advent and Christmas

LINCOLN — On Sunday, Dec. 9, at 3 p.m., the parish community of Saint Jude, 301 Front St., will celebrate Advent and Christmas. The Saint Jude Christmas Choir, Bell Choir and Children’s Choir, along with organist Michael Garrepy, flutist Mary Ellen Kregler, and directed by Pierre Masse, with lector Stephen Machowski, will unfold the story of Advent and Christmas through Scripture and festive music.
