JOHNSTON — On Thursday, December 7, from 6 – 8:30 p.m., young adults, single or married, in their 20s and 30s are invited to Theology on Tap, at Uncle Tony’s Pizza & Pasta, 46 Putnam Pike (Rt. 44). The topic will be “Might as Well Face it You’re Addicted to Love: Overcoming Addiction.” Learn about tools and wisdom to support people who struggle with addiction. Social hour begins at 6 p.m. followed by a presentation and Q&A at 7 p.m. The speaker will be Rev. Michael R. Simone, S.J., Spiritual Director, Sullivan House Recovery Home, Jamaica Plain, Mass. There is no fee for this event. A free-will donation will be collected. Participants are welcome to purchase food and beverages. Must be 21 to order alcoholic beverages. St. Kevin to host Christmas concert featuring very special guests

WARWICK — St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, will present a Christmas concert on Friday, December 8 at 7 p.m. The St. Kevin Choir will team up with the choir of St. Rita for an outstanding Christmas concert with special guests Harmony Heritage (an all-women’s barber shop chorus), talented soloists singing selections from the musical Jesus Christ Superstar, three very special guests you’re sure to enjoy, and even Santa all the way from the North Pole. Holy Ghost Church to celebrate Rorate Mass

TIVERTON — On December 9, at 6 a.m. Holy Ghost, 316 Judson St., is pleased to offer a Rorate Mass. This is an ancient Advent tradition of offering a Votive Mass in honor of Our Lady by candlelight. Little Sisters to host Turkey Drop

Stonehill Collegiate Chorale to perform at St. Anthony

‘Blind Faith’ to perform at St. Patrick Church

PROVIDENCE — On Monday, Dec. 11 at 6:30 p.m. the musical group “Blind Faith” will perform at St. Patrick Church, 244 Smith St. Each performer in this local group has been blind since birth and they do not charge for their performances. Refreshments will follow this memorable hour of music.

Catholic Mom’s Group Meeting Scheduled

PROVIDENCE — The Catholic Mom’s Group will host the next meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 6 p.m. at Holy Ghost Church, in the church hall basement. The group is intended to provide support, friendship and the affirmation to Catholic mothers. Fathers and children are also welcome to attend the group meetings. Attendance is free, but those interested in joining the group meeting must register in advance to attend. Children must also be registered online in advance. The ‘Promise of Light’ Christmas musical to be held at St. Joseph Church

NORTH SCITUATE - St. Joseph Church, 144 Danielson Pike, will present a 45-minute Christmas musical in the church on Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m. The “Promise of Light” is an inspiring celebration of God’s gift of eternal light. Traditional Christmas carols are masterfully blended with original music to tell the timeless story of the birth of Christ - the light of the world. There is a scripture-based narration throughout and simple performance with a reflection by Deacon Paul Ullucci.

Healing service to be held at St. Sebastian Church

PROVIDENCE — Those seeking wholeness in body and soul are encouraged to attend a healing service on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at St. Sebastian Church at 67 Cole Ave. Come at 6:30 p.m. for music, teaching, Eucharistic Adoration, the anointing of the sick, and prayer. Monsignor Carlo Montecalvo will host and hear confessions. Retreat director Barbara Wright will present a conference on the nearness, mercy, and tenderness of God in this time of spiritual preparation and worldly stress.

An evening of Christmas Music and Carols at St. Bartholomew Church

PROVIDENCE — The choir of St. Bartholomew Church will host an evening of Christmas music and carols on Friday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m., in the church, 297 Laurel Hill Ave. Refreshments will be served in the church basement immediately following the performance.

Sacred Heart Church to host Cabaret Night

WOONSOCKET — On Friday, December 15, Sacred Heart Church, 415 Olo St., will be having a Cabaret Night in the Parish Center from 7-9 p.m. “Two of Hearts” will be performing and the program will incorporate Christmas favorites. Wine, beer, soda and water will be available for purchase. Guests may bring their own snacks to enjoy during the show. Complimentary coffee and dessert will be served during intermission. Caroling and praying for ‘Peace in the Womb’

PROVIDENCE — The Diocese of Providence Office of Life and Family Ministry and Rhode Island Right to Life invite all to attend a time for caroling and praying for “Peace in the Womb,” on Saturday, Dec. 16, from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. at Planned Parenthood, 175 Broad St. If you are unable to attend, but would like to support these peaceful efforts, please pray that through the intercession of St. Michael the Archangel there will be a change of hearts and minds of all people that work directly and indirectly in the abortion industry. PROVIDENCE — On Sunday, Dec. 17 at 3 p.m., Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 21 Traverse St., will present its annual concert by the parish choir and the Holy Rosary Band in the church. Holy Angels Church to host Lessons and Carols

BARRINGTON — The parish choir of Holy Angels Church, at 341 Maple Ave., will present Lessons and Carols, an evening of word and song, on Sunday, Dec. 17 at 5 p.m. The public is invited to this special performance which will offer an opportunity to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. In lieu of admission, non-perishable food donations for the less fortunate will be accepted at the doors of the church before the concert. Complimentary refreshments will follow. St. Charles Borromeo Church to present a Christmas Concert
