Posted

According to a legend, Dubricious was born in Wales, beacame a monk and founded monasteries in Henllan and Moccas.

He attracted many disciples to the two monasteries, and eventually founded other monasteries and churches. Among other unreliable legends were that he was the first bishop of Liandaff and the Archbishop of Caerlon-on-Usk, the bishop who crowned King Arthur at Colchester. When he died, Dubricious was buried on Bardsley Island off the coast of Wales. He was also known by the name “Dyfrig.”
