On Thursday, Aug. 22, Bishop Thomas J. Tobin blessed St. Mary’s new Parish Center, located on the grounds of St. James Chapel. Approximately 100 people attended and listened as Father Paul Desmarais, pastor, and Bishop Tobin celebrated all those who contributed to the project. Those recognized were the Building Committee, the many donors who continue to contribute to fulfill their pledges, builder Mike Cocci, the people who contributed refreshments and the tireless volunteers who organized the reception. “The Parish Center will help build the faith community of St. Mary’s Parish,” Bishop Tobin said.
