St. Peter School eighth-graders to represent Rhode Island at National History Day

St. Peter Tri-Parish School eighth-graders Aidan Moreira and Emily Patenaude won the honor of representing Rhode Island at National History Day this June at the University of Maryland.Patenaude received a first place award in the state contest for her paper entitled “The Origin of All Our Difficulties: The Treaty of 1804 and Its Influence in the Black Hawk War.” Moreira received a second place award in the contest for his documentary entitled “Power vs. Morality: The Conflict Over the Use of Nuclear Weapons After World War II.”
