Students have much to cheer for

On Friday, Feb. 1, Father Robert Forcier celebrated Mass for Saint Augustine School students. During his homily, students were asked what it takes to be a professional athlete. Answers included: commitment, practice, determination, patience and sacrifice. Father Forcier shared with the students that these are the same qualities of a good Catholic.

Students throughout the state celebrated Catholic Schools Week with a variety of fun, religious and academic activities throughout the week. Ahead of the Super Bowl LIII featuring the New England Patriots vs. Los Angeles Rams, many took part in a special “Sports Day,” dressing in Patriots attire, or that of their favorite team. The Patriots beat the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 on Sunday.
