Mary Mother of Mankind Church honored law enforcement and first responders from the region in recognition of the 20th anniversary of 9/11 during Mass on Sunday, Sept. 12. Father TJ Varghese, pastor, recognized the daily sacrifices and personal commitment of those who serve the community and asked for God’s blessing upon them. Auxiliary Bishop Robert C. Evans was in attendance, along with local clergy, politicians, police, fire, rescue and veterans and the Rhode Island State Police Color Guard.
