Adoration on Aquidneck

NEWPORT — Salve Regina University, 100 Ochre Point Ave., will host “Adoration on Aquidneck” on Wednesday, Sept. 16, featuring an evening of candlelight prayer and worship before the Blessed Sacrament with Bishop Lewandowski on the lawn overlooking the water. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., music and confessions begin at 6:30 p.m., adoration starts at 7 p.m., light refreshments will be available at 8 p.m., and the evening concludes at 9 p.m. This is a free event; bring lawn chairs or blankets. Human Life Guild Award Nominations

PROVIDENCE — The Office of Life & Family Ministry is accepting nomination forms for the 2026 Human Life Guild Awards through Friday, Sept. 11. The awards are presented annually to outstanding Catholic individuals, from high school age to adults, who are “People of Life.” Award criteria and nomination forms are available at dioceseofprovidence.org/LIFE.

Day of Remembrance

STATEWIDE — National Day of Remembrance Prayer Vigils, dedicated to prayerfully remembering all babies lost to abortion, miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death, will take place on Saturday, Sept. 12, across three locations: St. Columba Cemetery, 465 Brown Lane, Middletown, at 9 a.m.; Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence, at 10 a.m.; and Resurrection Cemetery, 261 W. ‘Mozart for Mary’ 175th Anniversary Recital

WARREN — St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main St., will celebrate its 175th anniversary with a special late-summer recital, “Mozart for Mary,” on Sunday, Sept. 13, at 3 p.m. The event features flutist Maria Mandico and The Stella Maris Ensemble performing a variety of selections by Mozart celebrating the church’s legacy. Tickets will be sold at the door on the day of the performance.

175th Anniversary Golf Outing

REHOBOTH, Mass. — St. Mary of the Bay Church will host its 175th Anniversary Golf Outing on Saturday, Sept. 26, at Hazelton Golf Club, 327 Summer St., featuring a 1:15 p.m. shotgun start. The Great Marian Procession

PROVIDENCE — St. Mary Church, 538 Broadway, will be the starting point for the Third Annual Great Marian Procession, led by Bishop Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R., on Saturday, October 17, beginning at 9 a.m. The event will feature a procession to the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul for Holy Mass followed by fellowship in the lower Cathedral, and welcomes the participation of all Marian advocates, groups, parishes, and schools in the diocese. Holy Name of Jesus Giant Yard Sale and Parish Picnic

PROVIDENCE — Holy Name of Jesus Church, 99 Camp St., will host a Giant Yard Sale on Saturday, August 22, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., followed by its Parish Picnic on Sunday, August 23, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The event will feature bargain shopping, family fellowship, and food.

St. Joseph Annual Polish/American Family Festival

CENTRAL FALLS — St. Joseph Church, 391 High St., will hold its Annual Polish/American Family Festival on Friday, September 11, from 6 p.m. to midnight; Saturday, September 12, from 12 p.m. to midnight; and Sunday, September 13, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature homemade Polish food, an American kitchen, DJ music, games, raffles, and a flea market.

Hope & Healing Grief Retreat Day for Perinatal and Child Loss

Day of Recollection

Rosary for Migrants with Bishop Bruce

CENTRAL FALLS — Fuerza Laboral, 6 Chases Lane, will be the gathering point for a Rosary of Migration with Bishop Bruce on Saturday, September 5, beginning at 11 a.m. Participants will walk together to the Wyatt Detention Center at 950 High St. to pray the Rosary on the public sidewalk from 11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. before returning, with parishes, ministries, families, and individuals invited to participate. Migrants Via Cruces (Stations of the Cross for Immigrants)

PROVIDENCE - Join Bishop Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R. on Tuesday, September 15 at 6:15 p.m. at St. Bartholomew Church, 305 Laurel Hill Ave., Providence for this special Way of the Cross for Migrants as we come together in prayer for our immigrant brothers and sisters. We will gather at the church at 6:15 p.m. and set off at 6:30 p.m., travelling through the Silver Lake neighborhood of Providence. 40 Days for Life Fall Campaign Kickoff and Jericho Walk

PROVIDENCE — St. Patrick Church, 244 Smith St., will be the starting point for the 40 Days for Life Fall Campaign Kickoff and Jericho Walk on Saturday, September 19, beginning at 10 a.m. Held in cooperation with RI Right to Life, participants will walk to the Rhode Island State House and prayerfully encircle the perimeter three times for the protection of human life and the conversion of elected representatives. Traveling Rosary Congress

PROVIDENCE — Parishes throughout the Diocese of Providence will participate in the Traveling Eucharistic Rosary Congress from Saturday, October 3, to Friday, October 9. The event will feature seven days of around-the-clock Eucharistic Adoration and hourly Rosaries in response to Our Lady of Fatima’s call to conversion, consecration, and prayer.
