West Bay Chorale Open Rehearsals

WARWICK — St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, will host “Sing with Us” open rehearsals with the West Bay Chorale on Monday September 21, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The free event invites adults of all musical backgrounds to experience a rehearsal and learn about joining the multigenerational community chorus.

Bible Study at Saints John & Paul Parish

COVENTRY — Saints John & Paul Parish Center, 341 S. Main St., will host a free Bible study on “Matthew: The King and His Kingdom” on Tuesdays, now through December 15, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The course examines how Jesus fulfills God’s promises to Israel, with advance registration required.

Gathered: A Fall Brunch for Women in their 20s & 30s

WESTERLY — All young adult women in their 20s and 30s are invited to join us Sunday, October 18 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. for a cozy afternoon down in Westerly. Together at this Ocean State Young Adult event, we’ll enjoy a fall brunch with pumpkin painting and a mimosa and seasonal latte bar, and take time to prepare for and offer intentions for All Souls’ Day. 40 Days for Life Fall Campaign Kickoff and Jericho Walk

PROVIDENCE — St. Patrick Church, 244 Smith St., will be the starting point for the 40 Days for Life Fall Campaign Kickoff and Jericho Walk on Saturday, September 19, beginning at 10 a.m. Held in cooperation with RI Right to Life, participants will walk to the Rhode Island State House and prayerfully encircle the perimeter three times for the protection of human life.

Summer’s End Dance

WARREN — St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave., will host a Summer’s End Dance on Saturday, September 19, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the church hall. The event features live music by Manny Massa and the Goat Roper Band, a silent auction, raffles, and food available for purchase.

Knights of Columbus Breakfast

 NORTH KINGSTOWN — The Knights of Columbus will hold a breakfast at the Council Hall, 1265 Tower Hill Road, on Sunday, September 20, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The event will feature scrambled eggs, French toast, home fries, bacon, baked beans, breakfast pastries, orange juice, coffee, and tea, with children 6 and under free.

St. Barnabas Fresh Malassadas Sale

PORTSMOUTH — St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, will sell freshly made malassadas in the church hall on Sunday, September 20, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will feature single or dozen purchases to benefit the St. Barnabas Youth Mission Trip.

Catholic Teaching on Artificial Reproduction Presentation

NARRAGANSETT — St. Thomas More Parish, 53 Rockland St., Parish Hall, will host a presentation titled “Catholic Teaching on Artificial Reproduction” on Thursday, September 24, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sponsored by the Pro-Life Committee, Dr. Peter Colosi will examine Church teachings on artificial reproductive technology, including IVF.

Beatification of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Devotions

BURRILLVILLE — The Shrine of the Little Flower, 35 Dion Drive (Nasonville), will celebrate the Beatification of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen on Thursday, September 24, beginning at 3 p.m. The event will feature a 3 p.m. Holy Hour, 4 p.m. Stations of the Cross, 5 p.m. World Missions Rosary, and 6 p.m. Mass.

World Day of Migrants and Refugees Vigil

PROVIDENCE — St. Patrick Church, 244 Smith St., will host a candlelit prayer service in observance of the World Day of Migrants and Refugees on Friday, September 25, in the evening. PROVIDENCE — St. Pius V Church, 240 Eaton St., will host a “Hope & Healing Retreat” on Saturday, September 26, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sponsored by the Office of Life and Family, the event features 8 a.m. Mass, refreshments, and lunch to accompany those grieving the loss of a child.

175th Anniversary Golf Outing

REHOBOTH, Mass. — St. Mary of the Bay Church will host its 175th Anniversary Golf Outing on Saturday, September 26, at Hazelton Golf Club, 327 Summer St., featuring a 1:15 p.m. shotgun start. The event includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, dinner, and prizes, with a dinner-only option also available.

SVDP Annual Friends of the Poor Walk

WAKEFIELD — The Prout School will be the site for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Rhode Island’s annual Friends of the Poor Walk on Sunday, September 27, beginning with registration at 10:30 a.m. and the walk at 11:30 a.m. The event will feature a one-mile walk, food, music, raffles, and collections of food, clothing, and toiletries for Rhode Island neighbors in need.

Traveling Rosary Congress

PROVIDENCE — Parishes throughout the Diocese of Providence will participate in the Traveling Eucharistic Rosary Congress from Saturday, October 3, to Friday, October 9. The event features seven days of around-the-clock Eucharistic Adoration and hourly Rosaries in response to Our Lady of Fatima’s call to prayer. Transitus of St. Francis Service

WARWICK — St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, will hold a Transitus Service commemorating the passing of St. Francis of Assisi on Saturday, October 3, at 6 p.m. Co-sponsored by the Holy Spirit and St. Clare of Assisi Secular Franciscan fraternities, the event marks the 800th anniversary of his death.

Mass for the Care of Creation
Bishop Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R. will be celebrating a Mass for the Care of Creation on the Feast of St. Francis, October 4th at 7pm on the campus of Portsmouth Abbey (285 Cory’s Lane Portsmouth, RI 02871) commemorating the Season of Creation. During the Season of Creation, Pope Leo IV invites us “to contemplate the gift of life and to cherish the earth that sustains it, for they are tangible ways of offering praise to our Creator”. WESTERLY — Franklin Shopping Plaza, Route 1 (between Aldi and Home Depot), will be the site for the Westerly Life Chain on Sunday, October 4, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The event will feature a peaceful, silent gathering of prayer and public witness for life.

‘Second Career’ Vocations Informational Meeting

PROVIDENCE — Our Lady of Providence Seminary, 485 Mt. Pleasant Ave., will host a “Second Career” Vocations Informational Meeting on Monday, October 5, at 5 p.m. The event features information and guidance for men discerning a later-in-life call to the priesthood.

2026 Human Life Guild Day

PROVIDENCE — The Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, 30 Fenner St., will host the 2026 Human Life Guild Day on Saturday, October 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event features 9 a.m. Mass celebrated by Bishop Bruce A.
