Michael joins the diocese with more than 15 years of experience in the field of public relations. Most recently, he served as the Director of Communications for the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in the Archdiocese of Boston where he was responsible for the Cathedral’s media relations, marketing, and outreach. He also was the Director of Marketing and Communications for Cathedral High School in Boston.

A graduate of Siena College, where he earned a B.A. in History, and Boston University, where he earned an M.S. in Public Relations, Michael also served his country honorably as a United States Marine and Platoon Sergeant. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experiential leadership to his new role.

Bishop Tobin enthusiastically welcomed Michael to the diocese, noting, “We are very grateful to have Michael Kieloch available to lead the communications efforts of the Church in the Diocese of Providence. His strong, personal commitment to the faith, along with his professional expertise and experience, will be a great blessing for the Church as we prepare for the future and eagerly engage both the challenges and opportunities that await us.”

Kieloch said he looks forward to the opportunity to serve the faithful in the Diocese of Providence.

“Communications in the digital age have a profound capacity to evangelize, catechize, and build up the Church,” Kieloch said.

“I am sincerely grateful for the trust placed in me by Bishop Tobin and energized by this opportunity to advance the mission of the Diocese of Providence through communications and public relations.”
