The Vietnamese Catholic Community of Rhode Island was filled with great joy with the visit of Coadjutor Bishop Richard G. Henning on, Sunday, Feb.12, at St. Anthony Church in Woonsocket. Rhode Island’s Vietnamese Catholic Community first began in 1978, with Mass celebrated by priests in the homes of different Vietnamese Catholic families. Today, Mass is celebrated once a month (on the second Sunday of the month) at 1:30 p.m. at St. Anthony Church in Woonsocket. The community has 120 people.
