Call to remove Nativity School flags brings despair to Catholic spirit

 

 

Pope Francis’ Easter message repeated the words “peace” and “reconciliation.” He also preaches “love” and “acceptance” as Christ’s message. Per the editorial in the RI Catholic newspaper (4/21/22), the Nativity School of Worcester displays Black Lives Matter and Pride Rainbow flags, symbols of oppression and discrimination. The editorial endorsement of Bishop McManus’ call to the school to remove the flags brings further despair to my Catholic spirit.
