EAST GREENWICH — Students at Our Lady of Mercy School in East Greenwich recently took part in the annual fundraiser, with those who received the most donations in their name, and the class that raised the most money awarded a pizza, ice cream or donut party. Depending on the students’ grade, they walked a designated route around the school property while being sprayed with various colors of chalk paint. Once they completed their route, they enjoyed snacks out on the field. There was a wonderful turnout of teachers, students, parish staff and parent volunteers. The OLM Parent Teacher Group, led by Gaiya Berube, put the event together, which raised $28,000, the most successful Colorthon fundraiser to date.
